My great grandparents were Carmela (Carmina) Mosca and Carmen (Carmelo) Marranzini.

Carmela (Carmina) Mosca, my great grandmother, was born on 23 December 1897 to parents Achille Mosca and Maria Elisabetta Curcio in Santa Lucia di Serino, Avellino, Campania, Italy. Her siblings included Francesco and Achille. Carmela and family left Italy for the United States on the ship the S.S. Prinzess Irene, arriving at Ellis Island, New York, New York on 21 December 1911. The family settled in Boston.

Carmen (Carmelo) Marranzini, my great grandfather, was born on 08 September 1893 to parents Pellegrino Marranzini and Giovanna Dorino in Troiani Village (Frazione di Troiani del Comune di Serino) in Serino, Avellino, Campania, Italy. Carmen left Italy for the United States on the ship the S.S. Neckar, arriving at Ellis Island, New York, New York, on 10 July 1907. He settled in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.

Carmela and Carmen were married on 30 November 1916 in Boston. They had children Pellegrino (William), Olga, Rudolph (Rudolfo), and Giovanna (Jean). Giovanna (Jean) was my grandmother. Giovanna (Jean) Marranzini married my grandfather Bernard Kradin in Boston on 27 March 1949. They had children Richard, Robert, and Carol Anne. Carol Anne is my mother.
