Bio: Educated in Riga, Latvia, played several musical instruments including the bass violin and organ, political activist in college and chased out of Europe by the communists.


Antoni Pacewicz left Europe via Hamburg, Germany, on the ship S.S. Cincinnati on June 30, 1909.  He arrived at Ellis Island, New York, New York, U.S.A. on July 11, 1909.  He came to the U.S. initially to stay with a relative Christopher Alex Pacewicz at 95 1/2 Prospect Street, Newark, N.J., U.S.A.  He worked for a while in the coal mines in Pennsylvania, U.S.A., before settling in Stoughton, Massachusetts (MA), U.S.A., and working menial jobs as a rubber worker, raincoat maker and stitcher.

He married Ursula Janina Zeidat on July 6, 1913 in South Boston, MA, U.S.A.  They had two childtren, Helen (Ellen) Pacewicz, born August 29, 1914 and Adolph Edward Pacewicz born January 4, 1918 , both born in  Stoughton, MA, U.S.A.  They purchased a house at 39 Cushing Street, Stoughton, MA, U.S.A. on September 12, 1916.
