I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences
with Dr. Betty Tuller.
Research Interests: My main area of research is the
neurophysiological processes involved in learning and cognition. I am especially interested in using
neuroimaging techniques to investigate changes in neural activity as learning
occurs.
Currently I am utilizing a dynamical systems approach
to investigate how adults learn to perceive non-native speech sounds and how
learning occurs over time.
Dr. Tuller and I are conducting behavioral
experiments that examine the influence of an individualÕs initial perception on
the process of learning non-native speech sounds and exactly what is being
learned.
